The electronic cam switch which possesses the advantages of simple data-setting, multi-function, small-volume, high-reliability is used widely to complete circling control for auto-manufacture. The design of the electronic cam switch is based on the theory of mechanic cam. It avoids some disadvantages of the mechanical cam to some extent and has apparent improvement in performance. The controller is linked with PLC or a variety of sensor to upgrade the level of equipment automation.The exploitation and production of this electronic cam switch is still in the preliminary stage in our country. At the present, most of the electronic cam switches installed on the automation production lines are imported from abroad. So it has great significance to make the electronic cam switch domesticated.In this program, one kind of electronic cam switch controller is designed, with a double- microprocessor structure forming the central component of controller, which contains two circuit parts. One part is data processing, the other part is for displaying status. The fist part operates the data-collecting, processing and outputting the result with AT89C52 (1) as the center. And the second part is mainly composed of AT89C52 (2), keyboard and liquid-crystal display module. The scan of the keyboard and display are controlled by AT89C52 (2). The point-to-point asynchronous serial communication is used between the two CPUs.The liquid crystal graphic display technique is adopted in the design to guarantee the dependable operation of the system by means of the liquid-crystal display interface keeping watch on the work condition of the system.The controller in this paper can be linked with two different encoder types: absolute rotary encoder (ten-line and eight-bit) and incremental rotary encoder (360 rpm). With his function, the controller has better practical performance and generality in utilization.In order to guarantee stable operation of the computer system, some anti-jamming hardware such as optical coupling separating circuit and coupling-expunction circuit and necessary software anti-jamming measures are applied.Because of the limited time and fund, the controller devised in the program still has some deficiencies which need more researches and exploitation.
