The display technique offers novel options for boosting people’s view experience satisfaction.As an autostereoscopic display technique,three-dimension display technique is a major hurdle in its broad application to demonstrate the objective world.Compared with the existing three-dimension display technique,the characteristic features of simple-structure and low-cost of three dimensional lens-type display make it popular in practical application.The study and development of conventional three-dimension solid state lens type display technique reveal several shortcomings of poor-flexibility and larger thickness.This paper replaces conventional solid state lens type display technique with lens-type display technique to enhance the three-dimensional autostereoscopic display effect by applying the features of electrically-control and high-light-transmittance of liquid crystal material.There are still several technique difficulties to overcome before real large-scale commercials of three-dimension liquid crystal lens display technique,such as,low effective refractive index,low resolution and slow response time.This paper illustrates the fabrication of three-dimensional low-crosstalk,high-resolution display device by describing improvement of device design and replacement of liquid crystal material.The paper is structured as following sections:1.Low effective refractive index: The design and implementation of a multi-electrode driving liquid crystal Fresnel lens have been proposed for overcoming the shortcoming of low effective refractive index.The application of Liquid crystal Fresnel lens makes it possible to achieve same three-dimensional display by employing lower effective refractive index.Based on small thickness of Fresnel lens,the proposed lens integrate the excellent properties of small-size,long focal length,low driving voltage.2.Low display resolution: A novel three-dimensional dynamic scan lens LCD display technology has been described for solving low display resolution in this paper.While the conventional three-dimensional liquid crystal lens achieves display by space division multiplex,the dynamic three-dimensional scan lens liquid crystal display employs time division multiplex to display.The feasibility of dynamic LCD scanning lens technology has been verified by the simulation results and practical tests.To reduce optical crosstalk,the black matrix has been added in the fitting position where morphology of refractive index is not high.In this case,a low crosstalk,full-resolution three-dimensional display device has been developed successfully.3.Slow refresh rate: A three dimension dynamic blue liquid crystal display device with quick response has been fabricated to solve the disadvantage of slow refresh rate.Since the blue phase liquid crystal is optically isotropic and fast-response,the blue phase liquid crystal scanning lens are polarization independent and quick refresh speed which reduce the dynamic and static crosstalk by employing a pulse-driven backlight and the black matrix respectively.
