| The paper analyzes several important issues of the Digital AER (Automatic Excitation Regulator): (1) Some advanced excitation control theories always involve complex calculation, thus an AER with higher computation speed is required. (2) Communication capability of the AER is also important for fulfilling the Voltage Hierarchical Control Schemes. (3) A friendly MMI (Man Machine Interface) in the AER is also indispensable for the industrial users. Therefore, we can draw a conclusion that the improvement in the Digital AER should focus on such fields as the speed of computation, communication capability and MMI. To meet these goals, the paper describes some clues and principles of designing the novel AER. The paper summarizes the results of Disturbance Decoupled H∞Excitation Control Schemes by Exact Feedback Linearization. After appropriate simplifications, an analytical excitation control expression for multi-machines system is presented, which especially fits for the industrial need. DSP technology is applied in AER by adopting Host-Slave hardware structure and DMA communication method. And the excitation control law is realized in DSP chip. |
