| To cater to the architectural function, the upper structure may differ from the bottom structure on form; or they may only differ on the size of pillars with the same form. In order to harmonize them, the conversion construction is adopted, which can be utilized in high rising buildings by way of different forms, including the girder conversion, the box converting, the truss converting, the slab converting, and the inclined column converting.The design of the converting layer plays a key part in the structure design of the high rising buildings and the inclined column converting is of the special superiority in the application for its great economy.It is shown in a great deal of engineering work that the inclined column converting is more and more widely applied in the construction design of the high rising buildings, because it can integrate beauty, economy and reasonable mechanic principle into the architecture, resulting in safety, economy reasonability, thus the whole design can be optimized. Therefore this paper is to concentrate on the inclined column conversion and aims to fully analyze the design of the conversion layer and the use of inclined column conversion in its design, with full consideration to the practical modification project of the residential project of light rail station in Niujiaotuo, Chongqing,There're six chapters in this paper.Chapter â… introduces the conversion layer of high rising buildings.Chapter â…¡ compares different types of the conversion layers.Chapter â…¢ discusses the principle of the design of conversion layer.Chapter â…£ discusses the design of the inclined column converting.Chapter â…¤ compares the two different types of the conversion construction design, with consideration to the modification project of residential project of the light rail station in Niujiaotuo of Chongqing. According to the above analysis, it is argued that the application of the inclined column converting is of the superior economy.
