| The internal combustion engine is one of the most important power machines. which is widely used in ship, automobile, locomotive and engineering construction. With the development of industry, the requirement for I.C.E has become more and more precise. As a basic measure of improving I.C.E performance, the test and analysis of I. C. E parameters must be fit for the new request. So, practical and shortcut I.C.E parameter test systems are needed.The subject is set aimed at developing a new type of measuring instrument which is used to measure explosion pressure of internal combustion engine to replace the conventional and mechanical measuring instrument. The core of the new instrument is microcomputer.Not only develops this paper software and hardware of the instrument, but using the communication technique to realize the communication with the PC.The development of the instrument includes two parts: the software and hardware. We use the 89C52 which belong to the MCS-51 series single-chip microcomputer, as hardware kernel. We extend related circuit and interface with 89C52, also consider various kinds of anti-disturb measures. The software designing also uses many kinds of anti-disturb measures to reduce the cost of hardware and to improve the instrument's reliability in addition to the basic function request.The develop of the communication includes three parts: the hardware, the instrument's software and PC computer's software. The data is transmitted to computer by isolated RS-232 interface. Author explains the self-defined serial-communication protocol in detail in the paper. The disposal software of data acquisition is developed with VB.This measuring system has distinctive modularity function, strong communication ability and change-error ability.The particularity communication protocol ensures communication and total system. The all kinds of anti-disturb measures putted into practice ensure the total system's work in gear.
