Human demands are inclining to such spiritual demands as the amusement, experience, etc. The digital products are exactly the bridge which links us with immaterial world. It's greatest characteristic lies in its immateriality which means digital products are media of experience and service,and it's immateriality is a foundation of human-computer interaction.This article examines digital products as the main research object. It explores the relationship between people and information, the relationship between people and machine, and the relationship between people and immateriality under the new circumstance. It attempts to find out some basic principles and starting points of dealing with these relationships.This article argues that the digital products are extended as people's limbs and tool of the sense organ, and such kind of product raises various kinds of questions to people as the materialization representatives of science and technology. Since design is a kind of way to solve problem, it has responsibility and obligation to offer the good products to people through adopting the appropriate ways and means. Digital product is a newly developed product, which usually does not have a congenital shape. Based on this point, this article regards immateriality as a breakthrough point of the research. It divides the digital product into two parts: software and hardware; define that digital product design is a development of an interface which solves the relation between people and information; and define that digital products are media of experience and service; and then analyze the factor involved in the interface design and relevant possible ways and methods. During the process of discussion, this article put forward that culture is a decisive factor and starting point in digital product design and a system to help people release and compensate their demands properly, and put forward that people's numerous demands could get the real satisfaction only in specific culture. No matter what pop culture or traditional culture it is, people will receive the sustenance of the sense of safety and sense of achievement only in the appropriate compensation system. This article draws a conclusion that culture is the most important factor that influence future digital product design,and "Design Follows Culture" is a design principle in immateriality design.
