Study On Behavior Value Of Time Based On Stated Preference Survey

In the urban transportation system, value of travel time savings is usually divided into two important sides——resource value of time and behavior value of time. The former mainly uses for the economic evaluation of the traffic project, and the latter usually is appled to mode choice and route choice, etc. As behavior value of time is scarcely studied in our country, The paper analyses the basic elements influencing behavior value of travel time, and on the basis of consumer's economics principle, sets up reasonable and feasible hypotheses, then structures the model of behavior value of time through certain mathematics theory method. In order to calibrate the parameters in the model, the paper begins with data survey, adopts SP survey to collect the data information. SP survey is very popular in transportation research in countries except of China now. This paper gives a general description of the different concept of RP and SP survey firstly and chooses the SP survey. As we know, Experimental design is a key process for SP survey work and for transportation modeling. The paper gives the uniform design method for SP survey design for the first time. While guaranteering the precision of modeling transportation behavior, Uniform design has fewer questions than orthogonal design and improves working efficiency. Finally, we use the stated preference survey to collect the people's travel preferce data in Beijing. In the survey, the paper designs the rational investigation scheme based on the current situation of Beijing. When the data are collected, the paper sets up the data validation process and criterions, verifies the SP data through many kinds of methods, and improves the precision of the model effectively. And the paper deduces to the result of the value of time in Beijing.
