Railway station is a extremely representative large space building, and its air conditioning design catches pepople's attention day by day. Traditional design methods depend on experience more. A large amount of energy is wasted becase of lacking the research on the air distribution of air conditioning. At present, the domestic and international research on the air distribution of air conditioning in the railway station is almost none. This dissertation relies on one project. It is"Research on Large Space Air Conditioning Design of Chongqing Jiangbei Railway's Passenger Stand Room". CFD method is adopted to carry on numerical simulation research on the air distribution of air conditioning in the railway station.Chongqing Jiangbei Railway's Passenger Stand Room includes one entering hall and one waiting hall, which are the research targets of this dissertation. The side supply air is adopted by the air conditiong of the entering hall. However, the waiting hall may use three kinds of supply air methods, which are the side supply air, the artificial pillar supply air and the top supply air. Therefore, there are total three kinds of air conditioning design schemes. This dissertation builds three computational models under the three kinds of typical air conditioning design schemes according to the real geometry size of the building and the calculative parameter of the air conditioning. And the STAR-CD software is used to realize the three-dimensional simulations of the temperature field and velocity field under the different air distributions. Navier-Stokes equation is the governing equation of the computation and RNG k-ε turbulent model is employed. The finite volume method is used to discretize the computed area. When dealing with the boundary condition in the area near the wall, the wall function is adopted. In addition, the upwind differencing scheme is used in the compuation. And the SIMPLE algorithm is adopted to couple the velocity and pressure.
