The atom emission spectrum instrument is the optical instrument which studys and measures the frequency,the luminous flux and its changing rule of ray radiation. The principle of ray dispersion and diffraction to separate the ray radiation of different frequency is applied to form the spectrum according to some rule, the aim for accurately measuring and studying the frequency and the luminous flux of ray radiation is obtained by applying a series of optics,accurate mechanics,electronics and computer system. SPS8000 inductively coupled plasma,sequence-scanning atom emission spectrum instrument is the first domestic instrument which is successfully designed and manufactured by Beijing Haiguang instrument company (Beijing geology instrument research institute). SPS8000 inductively coupled plasma,sequence-scanning atom emission spectrum instrument exists many disadvantages because PMT is applied for the spectrum acquisition. PMT can only record one-dimendion spectrum each time. Moreover the dimension of the inductively coupled plasma atom emission spectrum instrument will be very large because of the dimension of PMT. Furthermore, the cost of PMT is very high. When we study the element analysis, the sorts of sample are usually changed, the new unknown element must alter the corresponding analyzed element. Other analyzed element can't be measured with good result. Single-channel scanning is only measured with the sequence of wavelength, thus it takes too much time and the efficiency is very low. Furthermore it exists some other disadvantages such as the high criterion of reiteration of the driving of raster and the mechanical abrasion and so on. This project is cooperated with Beijing Haiguang instrument company. An spectrum acquisition system by using TCD1500C CCD (Charged Coupled Device) as the substitution of PMT is successfully designed. The spectrum analysis of ICP-AES instrument is mainly to study the spectrum whose wavelength range is from 175nm to 800nm. It will receive the light signal and then transform the light signal into voltage signal. Finally it will deal with the result of the data analysis.
