Ball mill coal pulverized system is a multivariable system with large time delay, great inertia and strong coupling, and its dynamic performance changes with working conditions. Considering these disadvantages, intelligent control systems are presented in this paper, such as PID control system based on inverse matrix decoupling theory, self-adaptive neural decoupling control system, and internal model control (IMC) system based on nominal model. According to the demands of ball mill coal pulverized system, inverse matrix decoupling theory, a traditional decoupling method, is used in the system control, and a PID controller is designed. In the self-adaptive neural decoupling control system, particle swarm optimization is inducted to define the best parameters, which makes the parameter settings much more quickly and effective, and it has also proved to have a good simulation result. In view of the time-varying quality of pulverized system, a control system based on nominal model is designed, since the IMC method has good robust capability, it also proved to have a good performance and solved the problem of time-varying and model's imprecision.
