Magnetic heading measuring system is a system which uses earth's magnetic fieldto supply heading. With the application of magnetic heading and the development ofIntelligent Transportation Systems , the problems which previous magnetic headingmeasuring systems have involved ,such as big size, big power and complexcompensation , should been solved. Microprocessor and intellectual sensors areeffectual methods to solve those problems. This paper researches ITS carriermagnetic heading measuring technology, which is able to identify the dynamiccompass error and raise the heading precision. ITS carrier magnetic heading measuring technology is on the basis of the researchof magnetic heading measuring system. A differential magnetic compass headingmeasuring system has been designed. Through hardware and software, it will completethe heading information collection, the compensation of measuring results andmulti-digital data. This system has these characters, such as small size, high precision,simple operation, high credibility and good dynamic performance. This project has an integrated process from error compensation's arithmeticresearch, system scheme design, hardware and software, to the system debugging, testcircuit board has reached to the design demand. This system can be used in thenavigation system of unpiloted, vehicle, marine, ship.
