With the development of modern science, the intelligence building is leading the trend of the world construction. But, in our country, intelligence building is still in the initial stage. Because of some reasons, some of the intelligence building which were completed are just the simple addition of each subsystem. That doesn't come to real integration of system.The appearance of fieldbus technology would bring revolutionary change to traditional automation field. As the carrier of bottom data communication, fieldbus is the one of the most important part in intelligent network. Many signals can be transferred P2P through fieldbus. Fieldbus can provide the power supply for many types of equipment at the same time, and no longer need the A/D, D/A converter. We will simplify the system structure, and save hardware equipments and electrical cable with fieldbus. Of the many types of fieldbus, LonWorks is open, interoperable, and has good network topology, so it has extensive application in many fields, especially in building.This paper studies the intelligent node of intelligence building based on LonWorks. The core of LonWorks is intelligent node and LonTalk protocol. The characteristic of intelligent node is smart and dispersive. Neuron chip which is the core of the node provides a lot of function with software and hardware, such as communication, controlling, media access, I/O interface , I/O application bank, LonTalk protocol and Operating System. Neuron chip communicates with periphery equipments through transceiver. LonTalk follows OSI/ISO model, which is an integral, safe and effective protocol system. The protocol provides P2P message validation, authorization, packing transmission priority, network management service. It allows interaction between network and network equipments in the long range. Otherwise, the protocol also supports various communication media. In order to improve reliability and real time, Lon adopts unique arithmetic-Predictive P-Persistent CSMA.The paper develops an intelligent node, which is mainly composed of AT89S52 and TPMN3150 chip. Two chips are connected in mode of Slave B of parallel interface. Single-chip is the master, and Neuron chip is the slave. In this mode, the highest data speed of Neuron is at 3.3Mb/s. In this paper, we introduced the hardwaredesign, studied the communication protocol between microchip and Neuron chip, and designed the program of each side.
