Pursuing the rapid development of refrigeration industries and the great improvements of our life, air-conditions are introduced to daily living and working environments. The Noise pollution is undeniably upgraded as an aftermath.In this special case, compressor is the greatest noise generator. To lower the noise standard of compressors then became to a critical goal to the designer. Investigations about the noise characteristics and distribution of the compressor are the base to achieve this goal.In this paper, we firstly study the concept of the noise in acoustic discipline and the measurement approaches. Then combining the theoretical noise measurement and online monitoring analysis together with the rich experiences to implement in spot, we gave an approach to the experimentation of compressor noise. By introducing common digital processing technology into our design, we solved some crucial interference problems in development of "online noise monitoring system for processors". Good results in field implementation and tests were gained through this approach. And then this article discussed some problems with testing system design and analysis, gave an approach to the subsequent errors and table systems. the author developed "online noise monitoring system for processors" which is a integrated examining system including examining, on-line monitoring, signal analyzing and diagnosis. Finally an introduction according to implement our approach and design in spot has been presented for reference.At present, "online noise monitoring system for processors" has already used in Dalian SANYO Compressor Co., Ltd. Through the analysis for experiment data, The operator can direct compressor production effectively. Then restrict quality control is obtained. The system can measure accurately and can be operated conveniently. It is practical in real application.
