Electric Vehicle (EV) is now undergoing a development apex under the pressure of energy resource and environment preservation issues. More and more EV related products have been put into the market with the development of electronic technologies. Pure EV is difficult to maintain sufficient drive distance due to several technology difficulties. Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle cannot be used in commerce because the technology of the dosage of platinum and the structure of re-commutater should be more researched. Thus, the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) is now feasible scheme to solve the problem of energy sources and environment pollution.According to the characteristic of series hybrid system, the on-board data acquisition system of series hybrid electric bus is researched and developed by the writer. There are many research on on-board data acquisition system in the world. But the ubiquitous problem are the dependability and the resistance of disturbance of data acquisition system.Many good precision, sensitivity and dependability sensors are used in the data acquisition system. The data which we acquire satisfy our request of analysis, watching and testing. PLC is used as the primary hardware. Fame View is used as the software which can display, test and deal with data. The touchable screen is easy to operate. Operating data acquisition and system for EV developed by the writer has several characters: high sampling frequency, vast storage, anti-jamming, general-purpose interface bus, data transmission ability and etc.The data acquisition system acquire much data of actual driving line of Wuhan city bus. The test mileage is very long and the test time is very long. The performance of series hybrid electric bus and analyze Wuhan city driving cycle can be estimated. The system can log all kinds of information exactly.The performance of series hybrid city bus can be analyzed, including dynamical performance, economy performance, braking energy, power distributing, and so on.The data acquisition system acquire much data of actual driving line of Wuhan city bus. Wuhan city driving cycle can be analyzed. The writer summarize from theacquired data that the bus spend much time in running in the conditions of lower speed driving, frequently repeated acceleration and long-range idle. The city bus route database is based, including the stop station, the distance of every two stop station, the condition of road, and so on. Make it provide base of vehicle hybrid power system control strategy usefully. The on-board data acquisition system is adapt well for the EV operating data acquisition, which provides true and correct data for the valuation of the EV performance and following research work.Lastly, the writer summarize the work on on-board data acquisition system of series hybrid electric bus, and write some prospect of on-board data acquisition system.
