| Both pneumatic pulsed liquid jet pump and vortex diode pump are two new types of radioactive liquor transfer systems used in nuclear industry, where the prevention from leakage and free of maintenance are required. Both pumps have been systematically studied and used in the foreign nuclear industries. However, in China, the information for the design and operation of the both pumps is relatively lack. For the application of these two pumping systems in the domestic spent fuel reprocessing factories, the performance of the pneumatic pulsed liquid jet pump and vortex diode pump have been studied on in this thesis.Firstly, the performance of pneumatic pulsed liquid jet pump has been studied for water which is lifted in the tube height of 6.7m. The influence of the structural factors, such as the distance between the nozzle and the diffuser and the diameter of the diffuser, and operational factors, like the liquid height in the tank, suction pressure and discharge pressure, on the lift height, liquid conveying rate and efficiency of the pneumatic pulsed jet pump have been discussed in detail. Meanwhile, a new kind of the control system of the surface location of liquid in discharged vessel by pressure drop has been given for the pneumatic pulsed liquid jet pump system. The experimental results show that the pressure drop is the key factor of this control system. The control of surface location of liquid in discharged vessel can be achieved by the maximum value and zero point of .Secondly, the principle of vortex diode has also been carried out. Both the theoretical and experimental results show that the parameter,, has the dominant influence on the performance ratio of vortex diode. Based on the above conclusion, the experimental study on the performance of vortex diode pump has been carried out. The influences of the operational factors, including the liquid height in the tank, suction pressure and discharge pressure, on the lift height, liquid conveying rate and efficiency of the vortex diode pump have also been discussed in detail. Finally, the experimental study on the performance of the joint system of pneumatic pulsed liquid jet pump and vortex diode pump has also been given in this thesis. All of the above conclusions may provide the background for the design and operation of pneumatic pulsed liquid jet pump and vortex diode pump used in the domestic reprocessing factories. |
