Reliability evaluation and reconstruction plan study for the M Base power system are discussed in this thesis. Combination of reliability theory with national defence construction is characterized.The calculation models are discussed for the reliability evaluation of bus arrangement systems, including reliability data of components, establishment of logical diagram, calculation method of minimum path sets, according to combinations of scheduled criterions, transformation of joint minimum path sets into disjoint minimum path sets, reliability indices calculation of bus arrangement systems. In order to simplify calculation, process is applied for decomposing and calculating large-scale complex networks. The reliability criterion of bus arrangement systems is power supply continuity. The reliability evaluation indices of bus arrangement systems are availability, unavailability, failure frequency, mean time between failure, mean time to repair, failure rate and repair rate. The theories and calculation methods above are used to calculate reliability indices of bus arrangement system for M Base's two 110kV transformer substations. In the process of calculating, the problem of establishment of logical diagram for abnormal bus arrangement system is settled by modifying main transformer' index, the running states and logical relationships are described well and truly. The calculation results are analyzed from three different aspects, the primary factors of lower reliability are discovered. The reconstruction plan of bus arrangement system is established according to calculation results, and the reliability indices of two bus arrangement systems in the plan are calculated. Reliability analytical methods are used to compare results of the two kinds of bus arrangement.Failure effects analysis method is used to calculate reliability indices of distribution system for M Base. In order to calculate expediently, the logical diagram of distribution system is simplified equivalently and calculated in the process of calculating. The calculation results are analyzed from three different aspects, the primary factors of lower reliability are discovered. The reconstruction plan of distribution system is established according to calculation results and characters of the M Base distribution system, and the reliability indices of the plan are calculated and compared with that of the former distribution system. The reliability evaluation indices of distribution system are load point average failure rate, load point average interruption duration every time, annual load point average interruption duration, annual customer interruptions, the customer interruption duration, system average interruption frequency, system average interruption duration, customer average interruption duration and average service availability index.The research results of this thesis can be applied into reconstruction engineering of transformer substations' bus arrangement systems and distribution circuit in M Base.
