Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) control for stacker has got great developments in past ten years. However, very few papers have been published on the control system of automatic stacker for bar shape.This article is based on the control system of stacker for bar shape in the steel works of Tonghua. The stacker system is manufactured and analyzed, and the rebuild design based on PLC of system is set up. The article detailedly analyzed the characteristic of location control of stacker from three aspect consist of automatic control, electric drive, position measure, and provided the way effectual sopited for improved reliability and expeditiousness of the location system and achieved the larger location precision. The article give some comment about system selection, the problem will meet and the solution.Speed control of inverter is designed to fulfill the control of the system of stacker. The controller has perfect performances in the control system.The drive system of the inverter beget high-frequency interaction in work. So in order to acquire the expected features, anti-interaction method is designed. The satisfied performances of the developed controller are obtained in experiment.A new control method will explain after project was over, it is fuzzy control method. The principle of method is self-study mathematic model.
