People always pay close attention to level measurement. It is the base of other measurement. There are several methods are used in level measurement by using different instruments, for example, float ball level gage, pressure pickup level gage and radar level gage, etc. Among these methods the float ball level gage is used very extensive because its reliability and simple structure. But its measurement accuracy is low and influenced by the liquid fluctuate. This paper designs a kind of oiltank high-accuracy level measurement system based on AVR Single chip microcomputer control. This system uses float ball and inductosyn to judge the existence of liquid interface, and uses the photoelectric coder to test the value of liquid level. At the same time, a technique is proposed here in order to decrease the error of measurement due to the liquid fluctuate and the step motor accuracy. The system's construction is simple, low cost and very practicability. At the same time it is easy to bring about automation control.This paper's major contents are:1.
