Test technology for hydraulic components used in the PLA's (the people's liberation army, PLA) self-propelled cannons was deeply discussed in this paper. The test theories, the hardware buildup of computer aided test-control system, the software design for the test and control, the performance evaluate approach were all analyzed in detail not only from the view of theory, but also at the point of reality.The test theories for hydraulic components used in self-propelled cannon were studied carefully. It's mainly on account to the Chinese national standard for hydraulic component. Theories and approaches were optimized to work for the self-propelled cannon better.One computer-aided test and control system has been implemented. Based on the in-embedded computer system, a high-performance portable computer test system is designed. The system structure, the sensors, the signal process circuit, the A/D and D/A card are all designed or selected for the special application, that is, the test of self-propelled cannon's hydraulic components.The test software is designed completely for virtual apparatus. The software has three layers: board-card drive program, input and output interface, human-computer interactive interface. A digital low-puss filter and a digital PID close-looped controller for load/pressure control is designed.As it's very complex to evaluate the performance of a hydraulic component, there are wide area and great application value to study. In this paper, the approach to evaluate the performance of a hydraulic component with all factor's power considered is analyzed.
