The rapid development of science and technology has nowadays greatly promotedthe growth of analysis instruments, specially the on-line portable instrument with smallsize, high performance. While the embedded system continues developing,WindowsCE,an embedded Operation System that has friendly user interface and an easyprogramming method,is used widely. Portable instruments are which are used inindustrial environment to view and analysis real-time signals detected from runningmachines and provide operators with correlative information about the condition of themachines. Based on the advanced embedded computer ARM and CPLD along with theembedded operational system such as Windows CE, the instruments can gather manyfunctions such as transmitting and measurement, compensatory computation, signalanalysis and processing into one instrument. In this paper a portable instrument forvibration measurement with embedded computer system was discussed. Data acquisitionmodule is designed. Based on Windows CE real-time operation system the software ofthis instrument was designed and developed with Platform Builder4.2.It includeWindows CE Porting and device driver.
