Traditional TCRs compensate reactive power from high voltage side of transformer,so it demands highly of thyristor and its protection and measurement, thus the cost ofequipment is higher. In order to solve the problem, the paper advance a new dynamiccompensator, which compensate from low voltage side. The paper has learning meaningand practical value. According to the need of practical grid, many low TCR units were paralleled andconnet with power system through transformer. it has advantages of TCR and lowharmonic, and it no need additional filter. it avoid thyristors'series, reduce cost andincrease reliability. The controller apply dq rotation, so it measure more exactly. It applylow voltage unit, thus easy to expand system. Simulation and calculate indicate that it isfeasible in arithmetic and circuit designed.
