The mould industry is important basal industry in national economy. The production mode of corporations manufacturing moulds is facing drastic change with individuation of requirements, globalization and informationization of manufacture. At present many corporations manufacturing moulds in our country have adopted flat administration of networks and dynamic self-manage work group form. Just under this background, integrated with agent concept in computer field, a production planning and scheduling(PPS) system based on multi-Agent system (MAS) is constructed for corporations manufacturing moulds.Technology about agent and information system modeling methods are analyzed deeply. A MAS-based function,model of the PPS system of corporations manufacturing moulds is formed applying IDEFO. The functioning of contract net protocol (CNP) is discussed. Scheduling algorithm for projects based on CNP is proposed. Besides, this paper researches comprehensively several evaluation methods of bidding documents, and detailedly analyzes application of comprehensive evaluation method and fuzzy hierarchy comprehensive assessment process in evaluation of bidding documents, then puts forward examples combined with production practice.Problem of task appointment in the project is translated into problem of muster overlay according to concept of muster overlay. A strict heuristic optimized algorithm is put forward to appoint subtasks in the project. Based on the theoretic research, some related software is developed adopting JSP and SQL Server database, and a software prototype of PPS part is constituted in moulds manufacturing-execution management system. Test results prove that methods and algorithms are feasible and that system has favorable practicability and promotion value for corporations manufacturing moulds.
