At first, plain river network region and its hydrologic characteristics and the current situation of design water research are elaborated. The methods of hydrology calculation and flood influence evaluation in plain river network region are preliminary discussed in this paper, taking the programming of Hu-Ning Freeway extension project in section of Jiangsu Province for example, which is conbined with the item of Roadbed's Flood Influence Evaluation in Hu-Ning Freeway Extension Project in Section of Jiangsu Province.Observed hydrologic data using in programming is interpolated and extended, followed by stochastic characteristics analysis of the water level data, founding that the consistency of water level data is all right and need no consistency correction. So the water data can be used as stochastic independent sample in the following calculation. Bridges' designed water along Hu-Ning Freeway in section of Jiangsu Province are computed. Comparing designed flood controling water level of the relevant programming area with the designed water above and the primary designed achievements in Hu-Ning Freeway, according to the designed flood controling water in Taihu lake and the Yangtze River which are passed through by Hu-Ning Freeway, we can finally determine the Bridges' designed water, and then determine the designed roadbed elevation and the designed navigable stage.In the paper, flood influence evaluation of a few of bridges in the area of controlling flood and the area of flood storing and detention along Hu-Ning Freeway are elaborated. And in the end, subsidence in the section along the highway is analyzed and roadbed's flood influence is evaluated.The achievements of this paper will provide guidance for the constructing design of Hu-Ning Freeway Extension Project in Section of Jiangsu Province, and the method suggested here is a effective way for water design in plain river network region when lacking in data. It is applicable to water design in similar area, taking the effect of human activities into account. This method's calculational error await farther studying.
