Layer-steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Pavement (L-SFRCP) is a new kind of pavement structure, having better stressing properties such as crack resistance, bending resistance,anti-fatigue, but this excellence is not embodied in the course of designing. To profile the design of Layer-steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement in the new promulgated Technical Specification for Fiber Reinforced Concrete Structures, and to make the designer more convenient apply the layer-steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement, the method of structure design must be studied deeply. This paper is an important part of the scientific project revising and compiling to the Technical Specification for Fiber Reinforced Concrete Structures, and this paper is also based on the compiling project of the Designing Manual of the Layer-steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Pavement. The method and theory of pavement at home and at abroad is analyzed in this paper, and then the design of layer-steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement is studied in details. The structure and finite element model is established and the load stress and thermal stress is analyzed by finite element method. In the analysis of load-stress and thermal stress, through a great deal of calculation, the critical position is found out under the central part in longitudinal joint. Base on the sensitivity analysis of parameters, the relation of the size of slab , the thickness of slab and the elastic modulus of slab and foundation is studied.A great deal static calculation is done according to different transverse crack spacing, different slab width and different slab thickness in correspond to different traffic classes. Combined the test road research, the thickness form is given in accordance with different transverse crack spacing, different slab width and different slab thickness in correspond to different traffic classes.
