There is intricate electromagnetic environment because of modern power industry rapid development, especially the existing high-voltage or extra-high voltage substation and the applying a lot of electric and electronic equipment. In order to meet the standard of Electromagnetic Compatiblity, how to establish corresponding measure becomes a important problem in modern electric power design and construction. The grounding equipment is very important aspect when discussing the problem of substation Electromagnetic Compatiblity. The design and construction and the operation level of grounding equipment affect not only safe operation of power system but also the extent of substation electromagnetic interferencence. This paper analyzes speciality and transmit mode of substation electromagnetic interference based on Long-Wang substation which belong to ChengDu Electric Power Bureau and puts forward a design method of 500kV substation grounding grid in order to improve and control the problem ofsubstation electromagnetic interferencence. In one hand, a design and construction method of grounding grid is put forward in this paper which considers many factors' impact on grounding grid, such as: reasonable model of grounding grid, grounding material, soil condition, construction technics. On the other hand, the request of operation and maintenance of substation grounding equipment is put forward based on grounding equipment datum of Long Wang substation. By means of two aspects mentioned above, the Electromagnetic Compatiblity of substation is improved and the safe and stable operation of substation is realized.
