The traction power rectifier is the key equipment in the circuit of diesel locomotive with electric transmission. Generally, the rectifier has the function of three-phase bridge-type rectifying circuit. According to the different using condition, the rectifiers in different type of locomotives have not the same amount of rectifying elements parallel in its six-bridge line, and what's more, the same type of elements possesses the characteristic's difference. So that at normal using condition, every element is loaded with irregular current intensity, and it is harmful to all elements in this situation, hence affect the locomotive normal running condition. The uniform current test of the rectifier for traction power is the test subject that aimed at inspecting the current distribution of the rectifying elements in every parallel branch line bridge.The uniform current inspection system in the past locomotive branch was mostly use general shunt as inspection elements for every bridge branch parallel circuit and total current. This method utilize the pointer-type current meter, artificial reading and then calculate out the uniform current intensity factor. This lead to low productivity and the system is to be bad immunity, eventually obtain the lower degree of accuracy, and it didn't meet the needs of reliability requirement for traction power rectifier. Through applying micro-computer automatic control and in-time data collection technique on railway production field, and finally open up a special field in the production practice of computerization, making a technical progress and strengthening the market competitive ability.
