Development On Friction Torque Meter For Paired Angular Contact Ball Bearings

The friction torque of bearings directly affects bearing life, which is an important factor affecting the reliability and precision of main machine system and a primary factor taken into account in the design of bearings, and emphasized in home and abroad. The friction torque of bearing is a very complex issue; quantitative study and measurement of the friction torque are always tip topics for bearing industry and principal machine in the worldFor the friction torque meter studied in this paper, the static pressured air bearings with low friction torque is utilized on measuring spindle; the strain-type transducer is used to measure the friction torque; the air-loading system is able to apply a load on inner or outer ring respectively; the A,C motor assembly drives spindle rotating at varying speeds; the measuring process is controlled and the data is processed by a computer, which is able to display and save friction torque data and dynamic curves with friend man-machine interface.The working principles, key technology, experimental method and so on are described in detail for M695 friction torque meter of paired angular contact bearing. The main content is as follow: study on the method to measure friction torque, study on the measuring principle for the friction torque of paired angular contact bearing and loading mode, design on key components such as air spindle and ball-compacted spindle, study on the calibration method of meter, design on measuring and controlling software, performance test and application test of whole instrument.The achievement in the study is used to solve effetely the problem of measurement of friction torque for paired angular contact bearings after assembled, which is important to improve bearing design and product quality, filling in a gap in this field and taking the prior position in domestics.
