The total capacity of transformers connected in electric network is about 8-9 times of installed gross capacity of generating equipments. The energy loss of transformers connected in electric network for a long time is very heavy, about 6%-8% of gross capacity of electric power system. It become a subject that How to reduce the energy loss of transformers. People all over the world concentrate their attention on it and study together. This paper aims at power distribution transformers. Monitored control system of power distribution transformers has important use value on project.The paper analyzed energy loss of transformers on detail. Aiming at transformers parallel operation, the paper concluded a principle of "energy loss minimum in a year" by reducing energy loss and improving voltage; the paper analyzed economic operational area of transformers on the base of best load factor, attrition rate and characteristic curve. It concluded a principle of inputting or removing spare transformers and a selection principle of transformers parallel operation. And the antecedent principle will be the theoretical basis of studying and developing the system of monitoring and controlling power distribution transformers. It has designed monitored and control system of power distribution transformers by using MCS-196.It has finished the electric voltage and current calculation procedure of transformers based on Fu's algorithm of the whole wave Fourier algorithm. Combining distribution transformers monitored control system, it finished the assembler of MCS-196. For is it mix network automation to combine, among the research of monitored control system of power distribution transformers, utilizing public telephone network as the data communication of the controller reduce the systematic use cost. Demanding to the request of controller, it designed and worked out the data communication procedure. Through the preliminary experiment, it has verified the practicability of this monitored control system of power distribution transformers. And it established the foundation that the further project will be used.
