| This article briefly introduce the history of water mistsystem and its technologic breakpoint for the sprinkler system.The article use experimentation to authenticate the criticalpoint of system-starting an important engineering appliedparameter basic on fire modularization theory. The mechanism ofwater mist formation, mechanism of fire extinguishing,capability of fire extinguishing, application area and the costcomparison to gas system and sprinkler system of water mist systemis described according to the full scale test for the two phasesflux high pressure pre-installation water mist system developedby TFRI. It offers a strong base to compile the code for systemdesign and installation. The possibility of halon's substituteis determined, moreover, the prospect of engineering applicationis showcased. |
