With the opening of our country, the economy is developing continuously and the high buildings in our cities are more than before. Because the increasing of the measure of area which faces the wind of the high building and the index distribution of the natural velocity along the vertical way, the wind effects to the high-rise buildings more than short buildings. In order to calculate the wind load of buildings' structure and the heat (cooling) load resulted from the air infiltration in correctly, it is needed to study the wind field around the high buildings. Taking the environment protection into account, it is also necessary to study the wind field around the high buildings to anticipate the airflow state.This paper adopts the method of numerical calculation to simulate the wind field around the high building. Then, some information of the baffle flow can be obtained. Based on the information, this paper mainly studies tow aspects, as follow.1. The aerodynamic shadow zone around high building:This part contained that: (1) According to the results of numerical simulation, showing the meaning of studying to aerodynamic shadow zone, which affect the environment protection around high building. (2) Describing the general appearance of aerodynamic shadow zone, and suggesting to the definition of aerodynamic shadow zone. (3) The relationship between aerodynamic shadow zone and natural air velocity. (4) The relationship between aerodynamic shadow zone and the size of building. (5) Obtaining a series of fitting formulas for calculation the typical size of aerodynamic shadow zone2. The wind pressure distribution on the outside of high building:This part contained that: (1) The general regulation of the wind pressure distribution on the outside of tall building. (2) The relationship between the wind pressure distribution on the outside of tall building and the natural wind velocity. (3) The changes regulation of wind pressure distribution on the outside of tall building with the size of building. (4) Obtaining a series of fitting formulas for calculation the wind pressure coefficient. (5) The changes regulation of the type coefficient of wind load with the size of building, and obtaining a series of fitting formulas for calculation the type coefficient of wind load.It is reported that the studying of aerodynamic shadow zone around high building in this paper is the first time in our country and is the work having the meaning of innovation. The studying of wind pressure distribution on the outside of high building in the paper puts forward a way to improve the calculation method of wind pressure on the outside and the calculation precision.
