The heat transfer phenomena have many disadvantageous effects on gun launching. In this dissertation, heat transfer have been studied based on the 155mm gun in order to assess the heat effect on launching safty. The main work include: The parameters such as gas velocity, temperature, density and pressure have been numerical simulated on the assumption that two-phase ballistic flow as the core. Developing the boundary layer equation and the one-dimensional thermal conduction equation of tube. The convective exchange coefficient of different boundary layer heat transfer simplified models have been calculated, and the optimal convective exchange coefficient for gun launching was drawn. The heat states of tube during the single round firing and continuous rounds firing have been studied by the finit difference method considering the core flow, heat tranfer in boundary layer as well as heat conduction of tube. The charge safty alarm have been studied. The factors which affect alarm temperature were studied, such as the frequency of firing, the environment temperature, the mass of ammunition and the initial temperature distribution etc. Generally, this paper gives great help for gun safty during launching.
