In the paper, based on reading and studying of a great number of references about fluid dynamic technique and numerical computing methods of flow field, Numerical simulations and visual analysis of the flow field in the main poppet valve with three dimensional model were obtained by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD).Considering the incomplete symmetry of the flow field in the main valve, the influence of flow field in the hydraulic valve by the oil hole on the sleeve, the instructive functions for designing the poppet valve with optimal structure parameter based on the numerical simulations, The internal flow in two kinds of poppet valves that have the same structure parameter as the practicalpoppet valves was investigated with three dimensional model. The following are the main contents:(1) The three dimensional models of every kind of poppetvalves were set up and the flow field was meshed. All of these were realized by Gambit that is the formprocessor of CFD software.(2) The internal flow in two kind of poppet valves wasinvestigated at the different opening positions, different popper angle and different flow with CFD software Fluent.(3) As to the poppet valve flowing outside and inside ,the flowcoefficients were calculated and the pressure distribution and flow force were also obtained through the simulation results. It has practical significance to design poppet valve with optimal structure parameter.
