Research And Implementation Of The Bending Die CAD System Of Railway Passenger Parts Based On Software Component

In railway production, as important tools for part forming of railway passenger cars, die tools are paid more attention to its design and manufacturing. The Development of CAD/CAM system is main approach in enhancing and upgrading design and manufacturing level. This thesis deals with the development of a bending die tools 3D CAD system, which is a sub project of stamping die 3D CAD system that sponsored by Ministry of Railway. Reusable component based software development techniques are studied with emphasis in the thesis.The thesis introduces the key technology for development of bending die CAD system, including API of SolidWorks, the way of customization development, database and reusable component technology. The development of bending die system is based on 3D SolidWorks platform with VB progamming language, and using SQL Server and Access as product database. The Model file of stardard, typical parts and material mechanical performance parameters are stored in SQL Server database, and design information such as structure parameters are stored in Access database during design process. ADO/OLEDB is chosed to access database after comparing with different ways of accessing database.The bending die design content includes processing analysis and structure design. Processing analysis includes bending spring back, roughcast stretching length and bending force etc. Structure design process and approachs are introduced.In the thesis software development model based on component is studied, and IDEFO technique is used to build bending part model with bending die design process, the bending die CAD system architecture with sofware components and their interface is generated, on this architecture components are ploted and developed such as bending part model built component, processing analysis component, all kinds of structure design components, database management component. At last bending die CAD system is integrated with all kinds of components, and examples of bending die designed with the sysytem are given.The bending die CAD system is collaboratively developed by CAD&CG Lab of DUT and ChangChun Car Company. At current the system is being evaluated by user, the feedback result shows that the system functions and performance meets the requirement of user, and the system can enhance efficiency obviously.
