The intention of this paper is to develop a set of testing system, which has high efficient and reliable performance and advanced technology. It is applied in testing extrusion pressing of new type elevator wire rope tie-in in its making process and tensile strength, fatigue strength of tie-in. Then to test the validity of design theory of the new type tie-in by analyzing the testing data and grope for new theory on and on.This paper applies virtual instrument technology into the performance testing system of elevator tie-in, as well as brings forward and researches the performance testing system of tie-in based on virtual instrument, succeeding in having developed a set of high-power and low-cost test equipment and software. The simplified mechanics model was built based on analyzing load of wire rope tie-in, and then a suit of high efficient testing equipment on tie-in performance was set up according to ine model. In the design of information obtaining proportion, the optimal testing measure and corresponding sensors was selected basing on requests of testing precision, multifunctional digital pressure instrument and intellectual counter and programmable temperature controller were designed in the same time. This paper has devised a plug-in data acquisition (DAQ) system based on ISA bus and developed a real-time testing software with the platform of the Graphic Programming Language-LabVIEW, which has test data's real-time sampling, analysis and processing, instantaneous plot saving, plot reoccurrence, data saving to disk and reading from disk functions and so on.This system has such advantages as high stability, friendly operating interface, high testing efficiency, high degree of automation and high cost performance, which has been applied successfully in the course of study and development on the new type wire rope tie-in. It can be used as testing equipment of wire rope tie-in in manufacturers or examining organizations.
