Wavelet Analysis Using In Electri-Power Transmission Line Fault Recorder

This paper mainly discuss about wavelet analysis applied in fault recorder. The sections of the paper at first introduce development of electric power system automation, the wavelet theory background and historic status, wavelet theory foundament, and then the hardware and software structure of fault recorder and its traditional algorithm on fault diagnosis and location. Importantly the paper describes singularity detection theory and modulus maxima theory. And then we present the selection of phase and fault location by wavelet using these two theories, specially we provide some better methods to deal with several problems or shortcomings. At last, based on our simulation platform, we do several experiments and give a plan to using the wavelet algorithm in practice.
