Digital beam forming ( DBF ) is a kind of new technique which based on the antenna beam forming and the well-developed digit signal processing. The technique should convenient obtains high resolution and low sub beam by sufficiently utilizing of the space message received by array antenna. And make the technology of beam scanning, self-calibrating and adaptive beam should be realized easily.With the continuously developing of array signal processing, DBF have shown unparalleled advantage and vastly application foreground.Conventional CDMA's system always have low frequency utilization ratio which is thanks to multi-access interference. Smart antenna have become one of the main ways of improving the performance of CDMA's system because of its well noise immunity capacity.With the developing of the multi-satellite system, multi-satellite should emerged in observing and controlling area of one earth station. That's require the earth-station to tracking and controlling of multi-satellite at the same time. If we tracked satellite by the tradition narrow beam antenna, that should caused the jumping tracking between multi-aircraft. That is difficult to achieve by the immense antenna boot and the follow-up system. Using digital beam forming realize aircraft target tracking and controlling should be best means to resolve this problem.The digital beam forming (DBF) applied in multi-aircraft Tracking Telemetry and Command system is discussed in this paper. Its main content is as follows:1. Introduced the path characteristic of multi-aircraft Tracking Telemetry and Command system. Detailed depict of the influence to the system which cause by path, parameters to the multi-path are provided. Discussed the path loss of the system and how to improve the system performance.2. Introduced the fundamental rule of the digital beam forming. Detailed analyses the algorithm of weight parameter. Introduced the different algorithms of digital beam forming (DBF) and direction of arrival (DOA). Based on multi-aircraft Tracking Telemetry and Command system, detailed introduce gradient algorithm pattern which follows the LMS error norm.3. Detailed introduce the tracking problem to multi-aircraft Tracking Telemetry andCommand system. By use of circular array antenna realize the tracking of multi-aircraft by digital beam forming (DBF). Detailed introduce the gradient tracking rule, and utilize it to multi-aircraft tracking.4. Detailed descript the software and hardware to achieve the tracking by digital beam forming. Analysed the concrete software and hardware to realize the scheme. Give out the ultimate realization result.5. The conclusion of this paper and proposals for improving the system performance.
