With the increasing amount of flight, runway-taxiway systems of airport tend to be more complex, which cause the conflict frequently and greatly affects the safe and efficient operation of the airport. Proposed by the ICAO, the "Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System" (A-SMGCS) enhances the management level of airport operation from the target surveillance, path planning, conflict monitoring and sliding guide, which has become a hot topic in the field of domestic and foreign air traffic control. Target surveillance is the basis of other functional modules. Thus, based on the framework of A-SMGCS, study the tracking of aircraft in the airport surface.Firstly, study the tracking theory of maneuvering target. Performance of the EKF, UKF and CMKF are compared and analyzed; secondly, the tracking models of maneuvering target are compared and analyzed.Then, according to the terrain information, establish the model with node and extended node; the control instruction constraints are added into the road matching method, study the tracking process noise correction method, data pretreatment and state variables correction method of tracking surface aircraft based on runway-taxiway system; then considering the characteristics of airport scene aircraft, whose maneuvering is complex, establish the aircraft motion model based on road information, and combine the IMM algorithm, which include fixed structure and variable structure, the variable structure algorithm is based on road matching method, to track the single aircraft on the surface. The simulation results show that the accurate of variable structure algorithm based on control instruction and runway-taxiway system constraints is better than fixed structure algorithm, and reduced the tracking error of perpendicular to the runway and taxiway.Eventually, Consider the scene of airport is a multi-clutter environment and many aircraft motion on it, combine JPDA and IMM algorithm based on control instruction and runway-taxiway system constraints to track aircraft on the airport surface. The simulation results show that the added control instruction can reduce the number of effective model and using the runway-taxiway system constraints can effectively reduce the tracking error of perpendicular to the runway and taxiway.
