Development And Research On Distance Education System Of Ship Power Plant Based On The Web

In late years, the distance education system based on Internet is developing quickly in the area of education with the development of the technologies of Internet and the coming of information times, which has become the hotspot of the study and application of Internet.Compared with tradition education, the distance education system based on Internet gets out of the limitations in site and time of the tradition education, which can make it possible that the teachers and students can intercourse face-to-face by up-to-date technologies of Internet. Furthermore, this system throws off the woes in the lack of classrooms, the limitations of the students' quantity and the limitations of education site, which can make full use of and optimize the education resources. On the other hand, people can't get the integrated knowledge by the tradition education in the developed information society. People need a mode of the education which can provides the continual study without resignation. But the tradition education can't meet this need, the distance education is bound to be the road during the development of the civil education.This paper not only studies the theory of the instruction design in the distance education, but also set up a distance education platform based on Internet with some software.Chapter one of the article firstly expatiates on the status quo and development trend of the distance education system based on Internet, then presents the article's main content. In Chapter 2, after the education mode and methods based on constructivism are analyzed, the principle, the content and the process of education design based on constructivism are given out and three distance education modes based on constructivism are introduced. In Chapter 3, the writer bring forwards the architecture, the function, and the solution of the distance education system based on Internet. In Chapter 4, several key techniques used in the development of the software are introduced briefly, such as the setup of thedevelopment condition, DHTML technology, Active Server Pages (ASP) development technology, and the interface technology, by which Web Server can access the back-end database. On the base of the above results, chapter five describes the method on how to design and realize the distance education system of ship power plant based on Microsoft Web Server IIS and the Database Server SQL Server 2000. The last chapter sums up the whole system and points to the places what the system should still be completed and corrected. This system has the powerful practice.
