This paper analyzes detailedly the methods of power system fault system with the help of recorded data, which is collected at dispatching spot, under the circumstance of complex fault. A method of diagnosis system based on "soft protection model" is put forward. A number of methods of fault location were studied in this paper. Then a double terminal location method based on improved arithmetic is presented, which is simple, applied, and of good precision. A power system fault diagnosis system based on recorded fault data is developed in this paper.
