The Research Of Jingji Mountain Resort In Qing Dynasty

Located at the southern foot of Panshan Mountain in Jixian County, Tianjin, JingjiMountain Resort was the greatest auxiliary palace garden outside Beijing in QingDynasty except Summer Mountain Resort. It was completed at the prosperous time ofQing Dynasty. With an integrity of site remaining, and detailed archives as well, it canbe found that the art level of Jingji Mountain Resort is quite high, while indicating itsspecial character, thereby proving it a twin of Summer Mountain Resort, and amasterpiece of imperial gardens in Qing Dynasty. With the base of full and accurate historical material and reconnaissance, thisarticle emphasized the textual research of historical material, tried to understand thedevelopment skeleton of Jingji Mountain Resort and to reproduce the scene of itcompletely. We want to find the landscape character and the design conception, anduse the example to express them. So we may sum the design character and the effecton imperial gardens in Qing Dynasty. Finally, after considered the actuality, we cantable a proposal for protection and utilization of the site of Jingji Mountain Resort.
