With the rapid urbanization process in china, the partial urban areas, which being in construction, become the principal part in urban planning at present. As experiencing the high tide of construction, it has excessive passion for physical content in the planning. There is the phenomenon that emphasis rather on physical environment form than on sociocultural ingredients, and neglect implicative factors in considering physical space environment in planning. So that it has caused a series of problems. Based on all of this, the paper set to study.Firstly, the thesis introduces the formation and historical transformation of the deep-green concept, which is firstly defined within ecological environment subject, and discusses what inspires from the deep-green concept to apprehend and solve the physical environment problems in urban planning. On the bases of the analysis, the thesis reviews the historical course of the urban planning theories and practices that correlated with the deep-green concept. With the study physical environment under the deep-green concept, the thesis analyzes the influence and relations between the sociocultural ingredients (social culture, economic development etc.) and the physical environment, and elucidates what effect urban planning act in physical environment building.Then, considering the difference of direction and function using the concept in planning, the thesis summarizes the meaning of the urban planning based on deep-green concept through analyzes the distinction between deep-green concept and shallow-green concept in planning. Moreover, it points out the social target of the partial urban areas planning, while illustrates the concept in planning of different partial urban areas. Finally, by introduces some planning cases, the thesis further studies how to solve practical problem and how to understand the planning for partial urban areas under the deep-green-based concept.
