First of all, this dissertation summarized and analyzed the fundamental method of the reciprocating pump structural design at present. And the existing problem and the trend applying the modern design method, especially the finite element CAE technology in the structural design of reciprocating pump, were presented.Based on the fundamental theory of FEM and the secondary development characteristics of ANSYS, this dissertation discussed the general method of secondary development on ANSYS platform. Then, it introduced the parametric theory of CAD into the course of FEA and put forward the idea of parametric FEA. Applying this idea to the secondary development of ANSYS, proposed one kind of development method of reciprocating pump structural analysis software. Explored one kind of method of exploiting the special-purpose module of reciprocating pump analysis. Developed the related module of reciprocating pump structural analysis and the interface of analytic software. Finally, This dissertation examined the developed software system through the real example.
