Spiral bevel gears are important elements for mechanical transmission and are wildly. The traditional analysis and design process of gear based on the rigity mesh theory, therefore, it doesn't satisfy for high-speed,high-loaded and high-powered gear. The elastic mesh theory must be used to analyse mesh condition in gear transmission in order to gain high-powered gear.First, the mathematical model of tooth surface has been established by the machining process spiral bevel gears, consequently, the data of tooth surface have been gained. The cutting tooth adjustment parameters are influence the contact trail of spiral bevel gear, the cutting tooth adjustment parameters are optimized. The mathematical model of loaded tooth contactanalysis of spiral bevel gears has been established based on elastic dynamics and the dimensional finte element analysis method. The results of study show that contact problem of spiral bevel gears is an irreversible process. The initial clearance of contact curved surface, the contact point initialization of possible contact area and uncontact point deleting method are all affected calculating objective. Current nod external nomal method can accurately solve the initial clearance of contact curved surface. The accurate analysis of load distribution, longitudinal load dispersion and contact patterns to spiral bevel gears has been deduced, and that the variation of the contact center of loaded spiral bevel gears and the contact center of non-loaded spiral bevel gears has been analysed. The paper synthesises the conditions of loaded tooth contact analysis, fully considers all esalstic deflection of gears and support system, the deflection of gears and support system, the deflection of the contact region , therefore, the program may simulate the real work conditions. It may offer a basic judgement to choose the optimum design parameters and the cuttingtooth adjustment parameters for the design and manufacture of spiral bevel gear.
