Research On Detecting Method And Control Strategy Of Unified Power Quality Controller

Developed technology requires high power quality. So the studies on problems of power quality have been greatly concerned. Recently, to solve these problems some novel ideas such as "custom power" and new DFACTS have been brought forward. Among them Unified Power Quality Controller ( UPQC ) is a better set, which can compensate voltage,current and promote power quality. In this paper the advantages of UPQC and the problems of power quality are expounded, and the detecting method of compensating signals and the control strategy for UPQC are analyzed, in addition the simulation results are given too. Particularly a direct-detecting method of compensating signals and its realizing idea with hardware are brought forward.
