The rapid development of electric power system, the type of load tends to be diversified and complicated, the power system will appear various types of power quality problems. In order to reduce the electric energy quality problems caused due to the harm and loss, it must be to improve the quality of electric energy as the goal, the use of reasonable power quality control technology to eliminate its influence. UPQC is a strong comprehensive power quality regulating device, because it has the comprehensive compensation ability, has become an important research direction of power quality problems.This paper takes the three-phase three wire system without neutral UPQC as the research object, study in the reading massive related literature in the foundation English, content of UPQC topological structure, working mechanism, the compensation amount detection algorithm and compensation control strategy were analyzed.UPQC compensation signal detection algorithm accuracy has great influence on the compensation effect of power quality regulation system, this paper briefly expounds the instantaneous reactive power theory of three-phase circuit, the working principle of the P-Q method and the method of instantaneous reactive power theory is presented based on analysis of their advantages and disadvantages, and. Focus on an algorithm for detecting the amount of compensation based on Park transform, finally by reading literature and put forward a method of parallel side compensation signal detection based on FUZZY-PID.The amount of compensation control strategy is the core part of the system, this paper introduces the principle of indirect control strategy, put forward a kind of improved particle swarm algorithm fuzzy control strategy based on the series compensation unit, introduces its working principle, then deeply studies a current hysteresis control method of the optimal vector ring, theoretically a detailed derivation of the, and was applied to control the parallel compensation unit. The simulation and experimental results verify the feasibility of the proposed control strategy and effectiveness.
