Aseismatic performance of frame structure intensively depends on it's energy absorbency and nonlinear distortion capability, and realization of these capability is based on the damage of structures. Seismic destroy forms of structure have two kinds: first beyond destroy and accumulative damage destroy. The truth structure destruction is decided by the combination action of load breadth and circular load effect explains preferably effect three essential of earthquake motions to structure destroy. Thus a rational seismic assessment modal should embody accumulative damage destroy rule for such sensitive structure to damage as reinforced concrete.Damage research on reinforced concrete focus mostly on material, member and structure level, but there are problems on the subsistent damage models: combination from material damage to member damage and combination from member damage to structure damage; too complex account don't fit to actual engineering application. The damage performance-based aseismatic design method can calculate distortion and dissipating hysteretic energy under seismic action, and form intuitionistic aim matrix of damage performance by damage index.The nonlinear static pushover analysis (POA) is a simplified computer method for seismic performance evaluation. In allusion to disjoint of damage model in material, member and structure level, two times POA-based global damage model is presented. This model includes synthetically stiffness, intensity and ductibility degrading by equivalent stiffness decay before and after damaged.The work of this dissertation is mainly as follows:1. Systemically introduce and evaluate the advance of studies on damage models of reinforced concrete on material, member and structure level;2. By inputing earthquake wave for member model, analyse dissipating energy process and development process of structure damage and discuss relation between structure damage and PGA, time of earthquake motion.3. Discuss the combination from member damage to structure damage and difference of global damage index for weigh coefficient;4. Two times POA-based global damage model that includes synthetically stiffness, intensity and ductibility degrading by equivalent stiffness decay before and after damaged is presented and is compared with weigh method;5. Check frame structure designed according to codes by seismic damage performance-based design approach.
