| Short-limbed wall (SLW) is defined as the shear wall with a ratio ranging 5-8 of its length to thickness and section width should not less than 200 mm by Technical specification for concrete structures of tall building (JGJ3-2002. J186-2002).At present, general shear walls' reinforcement ratios even used for 25 stories is structural ratio. If general shear wall design plans are changed into the structure with Short-limbed wall, and the numbers of shear wall may be reduced reasonably. The long shear wall can be changed into Short-limbed wall and the openings are filled with light masonry. This kind of structure can gain better economical benefit and excellent structural function. At the same time it is good to energy saving.Nowadays the SLW structure is widely used for its versatile advantages on architecture and structure mechanism in residence projects all over the country. But it is short of enough experimental and theoretic bases, which cumbers SLW's healthy development. Making a thorough research on capacity of SLW possesses important theoretic and engineering reference value.Based the experiments of Zhengzhou University, using SAP 93 as the desk of nonlinear finite element analysis, material models are chosen according to the aim of calculation. The strains distribution and the internal force calculations of forty-three specimens corresponding to the yield stage of specimens were discussed in detail. These specimens are divided into three groups according to different ratios of shear walls' length to thickness, ratios of axial compression, and ratios of girders 'length to width and ratios of walls' highness to width. Two parameters are introduced. One is eigenvalue expressed wall-opening characteristic; the other is to express wall-opening size. |
