At the present ,Power market is being carried out in the Chinese power industry where commercial management becomes necessary trend. Study of trade plan of allied systems aimed at power mark is a work of important application value. The problem is high dimensions, non-protuberant ,non-linear and mixed. It is hard to find optimal scheme. In the article, the author applies genetic algorithm to solve the problem. The work of author is shown as follows:(1) The author analyzes and summarizes merits and demerits of different algorithms by the numbers and puts forward the assumption of applying genetic algorithm to solve unit commitment.(2) Aimed at some deficiencies in the application of genetic algorithm , the author puts forward the correspond steps to mend them . The steps improve the calculating speed of genetic algorithm and the ability of local search.(3) The three samples of power systems are calculated respectively. The numerical results verify the correctness and validity of the proposed algorithm.
