Nonlinear dynamic response analysis of structure (computer simulation method) is a main method as well as the study of performance of the nonlinear seismic response of the structure is always a main task in studying of the earthquake-resistant of the structure. The accuracy of the analysis of computer simulation is decided by the accuracy of the analysis model and the material model. The analysis model used by this paper is proved that the accuracy is enough, so the accuracy of the material model plays an important role. There are many factors influencing the mechanics capability of confinement concrete, and lots of models have presented, but there is not a model accepted widely.From lots of models, this paper chooses seven models-model of Mander, model of ZhangXiuQin, model of Sheikh, model of Park, model of Saatcioglu, model of Fafitis and model of YuanJinGen, which express the mechanics capability of confinement concrete perfectly and representatively. The paper modified some incorrect points of the models after studying them and some different hysteretic rules -hysteretic rules of Park, hysteretic rules of Blakeley, hysteretic rules of Mander etc. were added to the models.On the base of above, the models were programmed and added in the program based on the column-beam element of the fiber model. These models are applied to the specimens tested by Park et al. to predict the results. Loadings on these specimens are combined axial and bending with cyclic. Experimental results are compared with results predicted by models. And the stress-strain relations of the models are compared with the simulate curve. At last, three models are chosen for dynamic response analysis of simulation structure situated at area of fortification intensity 8. The characteristic and application of the models are studied at three aspects-material, member and structure. The influence of skeleton curve and hysteretic curve on the simulate curves are analyzed. The paper chooses seven representatively models from lots of confinement models, and some different hysteretic rules are added to them. By dint of the program based on the column-beam element of the fiber model, material bank of the program established. The characteristic and applicability of the models are studied by computer simulation. The influence of the skeleton curves and the hysteretic curves of the models to the simulate curves are analyzed. And the stress-strain relations of the models are comparedwith the simulate curve.
