Research On The Impact On The Traffic Demand Due To The Urban Space Expansion

In this dissertation, the Impact on the Traffic Demand, which is due to the Urban Space Expansion, is studied.Since the opening and reform, accompanied by the great development of urban economy and the accelerated level of urbanization, the rural people ceaselessly poured into the urban district, which leads to the vehement expansion of the urban population. The growth of urban space has been the inevitable tendency of Chinese urbanization procedure, and has brought out many urban problems, one of the most important aspects of which is the impact on urban traffic demand. During the process of the urban space expansion, the evolution of the land-use form and the space layout of residence and employment decides on the urban traffic trip generation^ model and layout character of time and space, hence it has a vital influence on the urban traffic system. The urban space growth is sure to cause the change of the road net condition.The running efficiency and life quality of the city is mainly depends on the traffic efficiency. The dissertation comparatively systematically analyzes the urban space expansion hierarcl^ theory and method and etc; generalizes the characteristic performance of urban traffic demand during Chinese urban space expansion; and builds up traffic demand generation modek distribution model, which based on some reasons such as the development of land-use and the space layout of residence and employment. In the final, the dissertation makes the choice of Shen Zhen, through analyzing the condition of urban space expansion and traffic demand at present, in order to search for a kind of solution to the traffic demand due to urban space expansion.The author regards the land-use and residence -employment as the prime factor in many factors of the urban space expansion which influences on traffic demand. The land-use is the function of the traffic demand, the layouU function and exploiting tension of which decides on the people's trip quantity N trip distribution and etc; at the same time, the development model of "employment follows residence " reduces to a new change of urban space construction, thus gives rise to the new feature of traffic demand in turn. The dissertation enunciates these two sides above in detail.The dissertation aims at providing a kind of method of analyzing problem for the urban traffic planner: That is taking the traffic demand into the dynamic change of the urban space, for the purpose of guiding the urban construction and urban traffic planning.
